WebBruckner revised several of his symphonies and some (But not all) of the different versions are worth hearing. If you haven't heard it, I'd recommend the 1874 original version of the 4th. It's not as polished as the revised versions, but there are some interesting ideas in it that got cut later on. I’d recommend Simone Young’s recording.
