WebJun 10, 2015 · 6. Location. Bonney Lake, WA. I have a 440 motor with a 727 behind it. Car is a 68 Coronet with 318 originally. There is no kickdown linkage on the motor today. The car drives and runs great, but the issue I am seeing is when I am in Drive the car will shift from 1st to 2nd gear pretty much immediately unless I manually shift the gears.
