WebRudin is definitely "the book" but it's not always a great resource for a first introduction to real analysis. Here's my suggestion for you: Bartle & Sherbert's Introduction to Real Analysis (a used 3rd edition is cheap) Amann & Escher's Analysis I, II, III. Walter Rudin's Principles of Mathematical Analysis. Real analysis is an area of analysis that studies concepts such as sequences and their limits, continuity, differentiation, integration and sequences of functions. By definition, real analysis focuses on the real numbers, often including positive and negative infinity to form the extended real line. See more In mathematics, the branch of real analysis studies the behavior of real numbers, sequences and series of real numbers, and real functions. Some particular properties of real-valued sequences and functions that real analysis … See more Construction of the real numbers The theorems of real analysis rely on the properties of the real number system, which must be established. The real number system consists of an uncountable set ($${\displaystyle \mathbb {R} }$$), together with two See more Various ideas from real analysis can be generalized from the real line to broader or more abstract contexts. These generalizations link real analysis to other disciplines and subdisciplines. For instance, generalization of ideas like continuous … See more • Abbott, Stephen (2001). Understanding Analysis.
