Webb11 mars 2007 · Drill the holes as and where you need them. Then tap a thread into the holes. Then use bolts, not self tapping screws. All the drill holes and taps and bolts have to be the right sizes for it to work properly. Ladymunger, if you drill with a 3.5mm drill bit into the steel you will be able to get a great fix just using a normal No. 8 screw. It will just thread itself in the steel and gives a very strong fix.
